You asked. SRAM listened. eTap is now available for Force. SRAM Force eTap AXS offers the key features of RED eTap AXS (modern gearing, advanced chain management, and easy personalization) in a more affordable package.
Starting from the cockpit, SRAM offers wireless shifting with new AXS technology. AXS is SRAM's new electronic integration platform that connects electronic bicycle components and software. The SRAM AXS App allows riders to see battery status, change component behavior, personalize controls, get maintenance reminders and update firmware.
Moving down to the drivetrain, SRAM has incorporated some exciting technology for todays drop bar bikes, which are faster and more capable than ever before. Starting with the X-Range gearing, which is designed for today's road riding, SRAM has completely reimagined road gearing for wider range, more useful and smoother gear progression, as well as smarter shift settings - enabled by AXS. With X-Range, you're always in the right gear. To enable X-Range gearing technology, SRAM developed a narrower chain. The unique link shape of Flattop technology not only allowed for a wider gear range, but also results in quieter drivetrain operation and increased chain strength and durability. Ultra-smooth inside chain plates are completely devoid of square edges, resulting in a chain that engages the cassette and chainring with far less friction for a quieter performance and better wear life. The design allows a narrow overall profile that can withstand greater angles, and also allows for a flatter outer-plate, which means more consistent chain riveting and enhanced overall strength. SRAM chain engineers developed PowerLockr as a tool free, sure, and consistent way to connect their chains. While PowerLockr does not require special tools for install, the especially tight tolerances of 10-, 11-, and 12- speed drivetrains mandate that each PowerLockr is good for a one-time application only.
The redesigned Force eTap AXS front derailleur offers better rear-tire clearance for those that explore all roads and works perfectly with all chainring combinations. No compromises; never miss a shift.
Finally back to the rear derailleur, SRAM has developed one rear derailleur to rule them all. The SRAM Force eTap AXS rear derailleur is designed for both 1x and 2x systems. It capitalizes on X-Range gearing technology for enhanced range and chain management and features larger pulleys for improved durability and efficiency. Strong, smooth, quiet and AXS enabled. With new Orbit technology, SRAM has introduced an innovative new form of derailleur motion control. It utilizes silicon fluid as part of an elegant and ultra-lightweight damper system. Compared to a standard friction clutch system, Orbit technology places no additional resistance on the rear deralleur's spring when under slow or light movement. This means easier shifting and rear wheel removal. And while riding, the fluid damper reduces chain bounce. It's rock-solid reliability for both 1x and 2x systems.
This groupset includes rear derailleur, front derailleur, shift-brake controls (for mechanical rim brakes), battery(s), and charger.

Upgraded the drivetrain system on my 14 year old titanium bike.
No wires to worry about, shifters are very comfortable, easy to program via the AXS app, and the shifting is extremely smooth and effortless. Battery life is longer Than I expected.
