Description A more versatile road caliper. The WiFli (Wider, Faster, Lighter) concept may be the driving design principle behind's SRAM's Apex drivetrain components, but it's certainly true of their Apex Brake Calipers as well.
"Wider" meaning that a new caliper shape allows this caliper to accept a tire up to 28mm wide and offers better compatibility with full length fenders than traditional road brakes.
"Lighter" meaning that like the Rival brakes, weight reducing cutouts shed grams without affecting strength thanks to a forged aluminum construction.
As for, the "Faster" part...well, we suppose that's up to you.
Additional Features:
Dual pivot design for excellent power
Cable tension quick release and barrel adjuster
Cartridge pad holders equipped with SwissStop pads (Shimano-type)
Includes 11mm, 16mm, and 20mm recessed nuts for various frame/fork depths
311g/set

Brakes are on!

This brake set replaced OE brakes on my Trek 2.1. Although they looked similar, these Apex brakes
blended in better with the rest of the bike's components. The Swiss Stop pads greatly improved braking and
made for a smoother stop. The design and materials used in these brakes has made for a more reliable stop.
I recommend this easy installing brake set.

Apex brake set replaced the original set on my Trek 2.1. Although the two sets looked alike, the new Apex set
out performs and matches up perfectly with the bike's other Sram Apex components. The braking power and smoothness is now much better. An excellent brake set upgrade. Would recommend.

My bike came with an APEX group but another brand of brake calipers. It lacked stopping power and just didnot seem right. I installed the APEX brakes and the installation was a snap. Braking power has greatly increased. Rate it an overall A
