Chromoplastic Longboard Fenders

I've installed many SKS fender sets, over the years, and these are the typical high-quality SKS items. Both fenders are rather long. The front is especially long, and the end of the integrated mud flap ends just a few inches from the ground. Fine for pavement, but not for gravel or dirt routes, where the flap acts as a scoop for wayward rocks and branches. I removed the front mud flap, and the fender length is acceptable without the flap. Also, the stays are too short for some bikes, like mine, that have disc brakes, where the fender eyelet is higher on the fork and seat stay. Overall, a good fender set for pavement bikes with a traditional fender eyelet location.

I had this product installed for me by the LBS and their comment was that it was a bit tricky what with the cutting that is needed. While I regret the cost for installation, I think I did wisely in having a professional do the work.

I installed these fenders on Aventon Soltera. I've used a similar model of SKS fenders on my other bike and after 5 years of daily commuting, they are still performing well.

The P35 offers good protection from dirt, looks good and doesn't rattle.

However, the installation was difficult. The instructions are tiny and not clearly written, I missed that I need to use the spacers on a bike with disc brakes, so I started bending the wires... The other problem is that wires need to be cut and I didn't have a hack saw.

I would recommend the fenders to someone who has good bike repair skills but not to a beginner.

Very stable attachment to bike. A tried and true design. The breakaway front fender mounts are a welcomed safety feature.

I am really happy with these fenders. They're replacing other SKS plastic fenders, and they're a critical couple of inches longer/wider at the "mudflaps." The mounting is solid so they don't rattle for me. I use them on my commuting bike and they've been a pleasure. The longer back fender makes a big difference for how much gets sprayed up onto a kid's bike trailer.

A strong plastic fender with the aluminum strip imbedded adding some stiffness. East to adjust with the locking nuts/studs to get a good fit. The P50 size is enough coverage for the 42mm wide 650b tires and slim enough to go into my fork without trimming.

A minor downside it the front fender could be a little longer it the back. Still not bad but I may add a rubber flap to the existing plastic extension

Simple thought out design with the right amount of detail... I already have a set of these on a single speed commuter. Now my multi speed commuter rip gets a set too. SWEET!
