Description
Uniting Air & Earth
The SILCA Terra Floor Pump comes with a two-stage gauge that gives you accurate readings between 0-30 and 30-110 psi. It's perfect for all of your road and off-road adventures.
Using a revolutionary new non-linear gauge scale technology, the Terra pump uses custom gauge internals to create a gauge which allows for 0.5 psi precision at the low end of the range climbing to 2 psi precision at the high end of the range (120psi). This unique design allows for a gauge with 120psi overall capability, yet small enough increments of measurement for mountain and gravel tires.
The Terra maintains SILCA's famous all metal construction with lathe turned Ash wood handle, but breaks the traditional SILCA mold with a unique lever operated chuck based on SILCA's own award winning Tattico mini pump chuck design. This full metal chuck uses a threaded reversible end cap to switch between presta and schrader and contains an inline pressure bleed button.
Features:
- Two-stage gauge
- Lightweight and durable aluminum barrel
- Full-size Ash wood handle with hose guide
- Locking aluminum Presta/schrader chuck with bleed button
- Rated to 120 psi

Yes it's more expensive than your run of the mill bike pump - but it is a quality made product that should last a very long time. Purchasing one will be a wise economic decision in the long run. The pump works great (less work than smaller pumps) and the pressure gauge is easy to read. As NY TIme's Wirecutter rightly states, it it the best bike pump on the market.
The 0-30 psi has half psi increments and is accurate when checked against my digital pressure gage. Solid base. The internals are plastic but covered by the solid green base foot stomps. Should be pretty safe if you happen to be careless with knocking over your pump or packing poorly.
Yes, it's expensive, but as they say "Buy once, cry once". I can tell that this is the last floor pump I'll ever need to purchase. People complain about the metal chuck marring the paint on the cylinder. Armed with this knowledge I just applied a two inch piece of leftover frame wrap in this spot... problem solved.
I have used a number of pumps over the years and the Silca Terra floor pump is the best one that I have found. Get a good tight seal every time and inflates tires quickly with few pumps. It also is a very nice looking pump. It is fairly expensive for a floor pump, but worth it.
The pump is light, the thin aluminum base accounts for that but it also looks like it may snap if it was dropped. Hopefully its stronger than it looks and a good alloy was used. The valve works very nice and makes quick work of connecting and disconnecting from the presto valve with no issues. Gauge is easy to read due to its size.
