Not a simple solution to my disc wheel

There just doesn't seem to be a simple solution to inflating the tire on my HED disc wheel. I think this is probably better than most, but it is still pretty difficult to use. Either it won't stay seated on the valve adequately so that I have to hold pressure on it with one hand while pumping with the other or it seems to lock in place so well that it takes a good bit oomph and rocking back and forth to disconnect it. I worry about damaging the valve-stem using this thing or weakening the attachment point of the valve-stem and tube.

One thing that I have found helpful is that I ordered tubes with a short valve-stem (35mm or less). This gives a little more space for the dance of the valve-stemadapterhand that must take place in the opening of the disc wheel.
