Nice shot.

The Sidi Shot Carbon Road Shoes are lightweight, stiff, comfortable, and of such a standard that Chris Froome was able to win the Tour de France with these very shoes on his feet. Up top, durable yet breathable Techpro Microfiber wraps around your foot with two Tecno-3 Push retention dials that tighten the shoe evenly for the most secure fit without causing pressure points, and out back, you get a similarly confident fit with Sidi's Adjustable Heel Retention Device that can be customized to keep your heel planted during hard sprints or climbs.

All this attention to detail at the top means you can more efficiently output all that power through an ultra-rigid Vent Carbon Sole. Its layup is designed to maximize stiffness while permitting a small yet effective amount of relief in the toe area to prevent fatigue on the plantar tendon and promote blood flow. Airflow is also given considerable thought with built-in channels and a closable vent for 4-season comfort as well as permitting water to drain for triathlon use.

Available in multiple colors. Reflective accents increase rider visibility in low light. Replaceable heel pad. Compatible with standard 3-bolt road cleats and LOOK's Memory Eyelet® cleat.

Details:

  • Techpro microfiber upper
  • Double Tecno-3 Push closure
  • Vent Carbon Sole with integrated air channels and closable vent / drainage
  • Reflex Adjustable Heel Retention Device
  • Anti-slip replaceable heel pad

great shoes, very comfortable, easy on and off. only complaint is they could use a little more ventilation for hot days.

Great looking shoe with versatile closing mechanish

I ride just about every day for at least an hour. These shoes are easy to put on and secure and just as easy to remove. I really like the all black look of the shoe as they are understated. The Double Tecno-3 Push System is an excellent closure mechanism. Overall I am very happy with my shoes but have a couple of observations. One shoe has two areas with a loose thread and I hope it will not get worse over time. The Tecno-3 replacement parts seem to be much more available than the Double Tecno-3. I hope over time the parts are available in case I need them.

These are great shoes. They better be, for their cost. I have used Sidi shoes since the mid 90's. While I am accustomed to how Sidi shoes fit, this is the first pair without an overtop strap. Initially it was awkward to tighten the shoes while in the saddle, after using these shoes for 500 miles I am familiar with the dials and am able to tighten with no troubles. Loosening the shoes are easy with the two levers. These shoes start a bit narrow but will be more comfortable when broken in, standard Sidi fit.

These are extraordinary shoes with a good fit for my feet. My last set of Sidi lasted for seven years, this set should do at least the same. This site has great prices and replacement parts for these shoes.

I ride 200 miles per week, so fit and comfort of my shoes is vital. These fit me very well at first, but then I realized that it was rubbing just underneath my ankle bone. Fortunately, after a few weeks, either the shoes or I got used to it and they have been fine.

This is definitely a warm weather shoe as on rides where the temperature was in the low 50s or below, my toes were cold, even with the vents closed. Not a defect, just something to be aware of.

My biggest complaint would be the fasteners. They are easy to tighten because I leave the little tabs up when I take the shoes off at the end of a ride. But getting the shoe off is a two-hand job. Perhaps I just don't know the knack of getting the tabs up and pressing the release buttons using one hand, but that is a small annoyance. The shoes look and feel great.

The cycling shoe that fits perfectly!

I have been a Sidi fan for years. There quality materials, durability, and fit are amazing. I have been using the previous model (Sidi Wire Vent) which I thought was a great road shoe. However, Sidi has once again raised the bar with this shoe. The new Sidi Shot Vent fits even better.

The main difference between this shoe and the previous model is the new symmetrical closure system. The previous system was asymmetrical as the dial adjusters were on the side of the shoe. With the new symmetrical retention system the dial adjusters are in the center on top of the shoe. This really improves how the shoe conforms to your foot, giving you a much more uniform fit. The result is more comfortable and precise. This is especially helpful if you have a high instep. I have not experienced any hot spots or pressure point discomfort with these shoes.

As far as price is concerned they are expensive. However cost is subjective. From my perspective the cycling shoe is one of the most critical pieces we use. They connect the engine (your legs) to the machine (your bike). To me its worth the extra cost to get the most comfortable and precise fit I can get. At the end of the day I want to focus on my ride, not cycling shoes that dont fit and cause me discomfort.

Excellent craftsmanship and durability. Love the fit and the quality of the materials. Only three stars on value rating because of the high price point. But you get what you pay for in these shoes.
