Featherweight Heavyweight.

The Men’s IMBA Jacket from Showers Pass is a deceptively heavy hitting mountain biking jacket for wet weather, made of tough yet lightweight fabric with structural reinforcements that deliver heavy-duty protection without added weight or bulk. Primarily made from Artex, a breathable yet waterproof fabric that’s fortified with taped seams, the IMBA simultaneously blocks water entry and expels moisture, keeping the interior dry and comfortably cool. The shoulders are reinforced so you can wear your back- or hydration pack without wearing down the fabric. The breathability of Artex is complemented by extra long vents around the core, further regulating internal temperature and moisture. The hood is removable and packs into a compact size for convenient pocket storage. It's helmet-compatible as well, and adjustable so you can cinch it down for a snug over-the-helmet fit. One pocket at each hip allows you to warm your hands and/or store essential items. Another pocket inside the chest panel has an audio port for storing your phone and listening to music.

  • Lightweight rain jacket.
  • Waterproof with full seam taping.
  • Thin, breathable 2.5-layer Artex construction.
  • Extra long core vents.
  • Reinforced shoulders.
  • Easy-grip zipper tabs.
  • 3M™ Scotchlite™ reflective trim.
  • Removable, adjustable over-the-helmet hood; stows inside pocket.
  • Double toggle hem cinchers.
  • Moisture-wicking collar lining.
  • Light loop at collar.
  • Front hand pockets; interior chest pocket with audio port.

Great jacket

Currently I use the jacket commuting to work 45 miles round trip. This time of year it's not so rainy but a little chill in the morning. Layers underneath make this jacket perfect. Relaxed fit, adequate venting, easy zipper, removable hood, adjustable wrist closures, added visibility in the hi-viz green. It will be a primary jacket on my trip down the GREAT DIVIDE TRAIL next August so I bought this ahead of time to test it out. I read lots of reviews on Showers Pass so I was confident in my choice. When it went on sale at Western Bike Works I jumped on it. Great jacket, super seller that I have been buying from for years. I've been riding road and mountain bike for so many years I hesitate to say. I ride for pleasure, a weekly commute, exercise and fitness, fundraising and the occasional local races. I currently have 4 bikes (1 road 2 mtb 1 fat expedition)
