Balance, precision, performance.
The XTR CS-M9000 is the widest range cassette Shimano has ever made, and it's precisely engineered to perform in conjunction with the rest of your XTR drivetrain for next level performance on the trail. The cog sizes are based on Shimano's Rhythm Step Progression to provide smooth shifts from gear to gear to help you keep your rhythm on the trail, and thereby keeping your speed up, too. A carbon fiber spider holds onto the 40T anodized aluminum big cog, and the following six cogs are made from titanium to shave weight while the remaining small gears are constructed from durable nickel-plated steel. Due to the cassette's specific tooth-profile, Shimano recommends use of this product with their HG-X11 chain.
Claimed weight: 331 g.
Cog sizes:
Steel: 11T, 13T, 15T, 17T
Titanium: 19T, 21T, 24T, 27T, 31T, 35T
Aluminum: 40T

Road Cassette

I do big climbs on my road bike and use this cassette with a medium cage Shimano derailleur and Wolftooth Roadlink. It works great! Couldnt be happier with this light weight cassette. This XTR cassette is an amazing piece of engineering and technology.
