Description

Ultegra 11-Speed Brakes + Levers

The Shimano Ultegra ST-R8020 Shifters/Brake Levers and Disc Brake Calipers offer everything thats needed to outfit a bike in Shimano's Ultegra-level road hydraulic system. Bringing many features from their Dura-Ace line, the ST-R8020 offers smooth, intuitive shifting and complete control. With ergonomics in mind, Shimano redesigned the R8020 shifters with a textured brake hood and smaller bracket size, allowing for the optimal shifter placement and a firm grip.

The Shimano BR-8070 hydraulic disc brake marks the first hydraulic disc brake caliper to bear the Ultegra name, bringing with it the control and precision you'd expect from the Ultegra line. Compatible with flat mount frames and forks, the 8070 is designed for modern road riding, providing better heat management and control than previous Shimano Hydraulic, Ice Tech and Freeza technologies.

Please note Left/Front and Right/Rear are sold separately.

I went from rim brakes to disc brakes and I cannot be any happier on how much better I am able to stop.

Very nice on my new gravel bike

Built up a custom titanium gravel bike from scratch and debated between the Ultegra Group and GRX. I didn't care of the raised ridges on the GRX shifterbrake hoods because they'd likely make my hands go numb on long rides. The Ultegra shifters and brakes are phenomenal and not only do I love them on my gravel bike, but my wife has them on her's too. Zero issues thus far. The hoods are very comfy and I don't have any issues with my hands slipping on the hoods or levers even when I'm descending on 8-10% grades on gravel roadstrails or riding dirt single track. The lever throw is nominal. I have SRAM Red on my road bike and can't wait to replace with Shimano. Brakes are super powerful and effortless. Could not be happier.
