Marking the Ultegra line's very first hydraulic disc brake caliper, Shimano's Ultegra BR-8070 Flat Mount Brake Caliper is lightweight, expertly crafted, and super precise. Designed for high-performance road riders wanting the best in braking, delivering better heat management than the previous Ice Tech, Freeza, and Shimano Hydraulic technologies.

The 8070 Caliper's are designed around the new flat mount standard, and as such are only compatible with flat mount frames and forks. This allows for a sleeker, more aerodynamic design that sits flush with your frame, ensuring plenty of clearance for aggressive cornering or crosswind riding. Weighing in at just 280 grams per pair, the 8070's keep their footprint on the scale to a minimum.
