Introducing the CX50 Cyclocross Crankset. Part of Shimano's first line of cyclocross-specific components, this 105-level crankset features 46 tooth and 36 tooth chainrings for an excellent off-road gear range with no jury-rigging required. Fast shifting thanks to precision Hyperdrive SG-X chainrings and a small 10-tooth jump between rings (less than on road doubles). Even so, the chain won't rub the other ring even when you're cross-chaining. The Hollowtech II crankarms are light, stiff, and durable.

Compatible with Shimano and SRAM 10-Speed chains. Available in Silver or Black. Weight: 806 grams (175mm length; weighed without bottom bracket cups).

Note: Bottom bracket cups sold separately. Compatible with Shimano outboard Hollowtech II road bottom brackets like the BB-5700.

Group Compatibility: Shimano 10 Speed

Group Compatibility: SRAM 10 Speed

THis crankset is an excellent upgrade.

I used this crankset on my steel cross bike when I upgraded to 10 speed. This product works perfectly with my Shimano 5700 shifters . It shifts quickly and quietly. It is also stiff enough for off the saddle pedaling and sprinting.

Shimano's new stab at cycle cross cranks is a winner. Also check out their new brakes!
