Shimano's high performance XT line has long offered top end features at an affordable price. Combining many of the same design principles as the top of the line XTR group with less exotic materials, resulting in durable, competition level components that don't break the bank. The Deore XT CS-M770 cassette stays true to this formula with tough wearing plated steel sprockets and precision machined hyperglide tooth profiles for high mileage and flawless shifting. Innovative overshift pins prevent the chain from shifting into the spokes, preventing serious wheel damage. Optimized for the narrow HG 9-speed chain.

Gearing options:

  • 11-32 (11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 21, 24, 28, 32; 261 grams)
  • 11-34 (11, 13, 15, 17, 20, 23, 26, 30, 34; 297 grams)

Far superior to the stock 9sp cassette that came on the bike

Totally different design than the pinned 9sp cassette that came on my wifes Giant. The stock unit was junk and came apart on the trail, it was a low end Shimano cassette. the CS-M770 uses a one piece body that interfaces with the freehub in one big piece and meets the standards I expect for upper line Shimano gear. A good purchase and a great upgrade.

Restored an older MTB
rating
by Anonymous

Brought my old 9 speed bike back to life. People still don't understand my mid 2000s MTB at the trail head. Then their PO when they can't get away on the trail.

Mt XT cassette has performed perfectly all winter through muddy training rides on my mountain bike. It's performing so well I've continued with it into the racing season. Perfect shift every time.
