Reviews
a.k.a. Schwalbe boat anchors. Yes they are heavy tires but for me the trade off is well worth a puncture proof ride. I have about 5k miles on mine and would say they will go another 5k. I run them with tubes now. I originally set them up tubeless but trying to rotate tires with all the dried sealant and what not angered up my blood. Tubes are simpler in my opinion. These are bomb proof, I find myself aiming for stuff to run over just cuz I can.
If you're willing to sacrifice some weight, this is probably the best trail/road/trekking/gravel tire . I use the 2.25 version on two of our family bikes. They're not the lightest things, but they are as puncture proof as any legendary Schwalbe touring tire.. They also have a nice profile for good handling, and the tread is suitable for dryer trails as well as asphalt. Oh, and gravel, of course. Tread wear is good. Did I mention no punctures? I took a star off for weight.
