Portland Design Works' Very Good Dog Cage was inspired by our historical best friend, Canis lupus familiaris. The White VGD was inspired by the legendary brandy toting St. Bernard rescue dogs of the Swiss Alps. The Black VGD represents another type of rescue dog: the everyday Black Lab mix who's waiting to steal your heart and be adopted at the local shelter.

I have never used a side loading cage because I had convinced myself that the bottle would not hold. I use 1 liter bottles and this cute dawg held it nice and securely. It is cuter in person than in the picture on the website. The cage is equal in weight to other cages and the benefit is that it makes you and others smile when you look at it. had the best dawg-gone price and as usual the fastest shipping
