Description For XC Races, Backcountry Epics, And Any Other Long Haul MTB Ride
The Scorpion XC M is the best choice for XC and marathon courses where terrain can vary but speed is still the key factor. The tire's medium profile tread pattern is great for riding quickly and confidently over a variety of terrains.
The tread pattern of the Scorpion XC M is optimized to complement the tacky and durable properties of the rubber compound. The tire has a medium tread profile, but the large quantity of knobs makes the tire grip in loose dirt. The additional "bridges" help support the knobs and improve mud shedding in wet conditions.
The XC M uses SmartGRIP Compound, which is an advanced compound developed using motorsport experience. The single compound provides constant high grip performance both in wet and dry conditions, even when the tread starts to wear.
The tire is also constructed using ProWALL sidewall reinforcement technology, which increases puncture protection and improves handling at low pressures. An additional layer of Nylon fabric is applied over the casing sidewalls for extra protection and improved cornering stability.
Of course, the XC M comes tubeless-ready, meaning you can run those coveted low pressures without fear of a pinch flat.
