Keep the essentials right where you need them.

The Ortlieb Ultimate 6 Classic Handlebar Bag offers plenty of space for your wallet, keys, ride snacks, jacket, camera and more. Like all the Classic series bags, the Ultimate 6 is made from a PVC-coated polyester fabric that's tear-resistant, lightweight and completely waterproof.

To provide convenient access from the saddle, the bag's lid opens away from the rider and seals up tight using magnetic snap closures. A separate internal pocket keeps small items organized. The Ultimate 6 mounts directly to most handlebars using a quick release attachment system and includes a shoulder strap for easier transportation off the bike.

The Ultimate 6 Classic Handlebar Bag is available in Black and features reflective accents. A shoulder strap and mounting hardware are included. Optional accessories include a waterproof map case and a waterproof GPS cover, both of which mount to the top of the bag and are sold separately. Made in Germany.

Dimensions: 21 x 23.5 x 13cm (8.3 x 9.3 x 5.5 Inches; Height x Width x Depth). Volume: 7 Liters (427 cubic inches). Actual weight: 695g (including mounting hardware and strap).

The Perfect Day Tour Bag

I looked at a bunch of options and I finally settled on this one. I ride a Salsa Vaya btw. I love the precise, functional German design. It was easy to install and felt very secure once installed. I've rode over some bumpy dirt roads and the the fastening system is rock solid.

There is a small inner sleeve w a zipper that I put my iPhone to keep it separated from other items. The bag has plenty of room for a day trip items ( phone, key, repair kit, food, sunscreen, light jacket). And it's all right in front of you. The lid is easy to open and close even when moving a good clip. The only minor flaw w the lid design is that it's not rigid so sometimes the lid fabric material folds into itself so you have make sure the lid comes down straight over the case then the magnet will snap it into place.

If you've ever thought about getting a handlebar bag, get this one. It's so nice to have everything in front of you. I wished I had gotten this years ago.

Great bag, mounting not so great.

I love this bag. Lid is secure, the bag is roomy. One complaint is the cable mounting system. I scraped the rubber coating off the cables trying to suck them up enough to the handlebars so the bag would not sag down. And once it's on, it's on - I would not move it to another bike. Wish there were a quick disconnect option so I could transfer the bag from bike to bike.

This handlebar bag from Ortlieb is awesome, because the magnetic closures ensure quick one handed opening and closings! It is also simple to install securely to your bike!

Bag big enough

In use for riding paved and packed gravel trails with the grand kids. Has plenty of room for energy bars, light jacket, camera, first aid supplies, a tube and small assortment of tools. the inner support structure makes it a little harder to clean. However being advertised as water proof did influence my purchase. We will see in time if the support system holds it in place so far so good. Good construction with attention to the details make this a handsome product. For the casual cyclist and commuter. If you are speed race oriented a seat bag may be better. The carrying strap makes it more versatile off of the bike. I think a map case should be standard. Can be purchased separately but is expensive. Good buy when on sale.

I wished it had the map case and phone slot incorporated into the bag. The version with those features is smaller. It was easy to install. Just watch the video in the ortlieb site

Exactly what I needed

I have the Classic rear panniers from Ortlieb and wanted a handlebar bag to use for ditties and a map mount on tours. This one matched the panniers I already have, so I decided to go with it. There are a few different models of the Ortlieb handlebar bags (some have more pockets on the sides, I think) but this one was a good price here so I went with it. I'm satisfied. It was easy to mount and so far keeps my stuff dry. One design flaw is that the straps don't move freely - the hatch lid gets in the way, so you have to put the lid fabric behind the shoulder strap hooks before it's really usable. Small complaint that's not a big deal. I'd recommend this to a friend for sure.

Locks the bag, but not the contents.

Easy to mount, dismount, open, close (magnets!) and super sturdy. Nice to be able to lock the whole bag to your bike - but, you can't lock the contents inside the bag. Any suggestions? I use this product for bike touring.

Just completed 850 miles on the GDBR (Great Divide Bike Route)...one day of torrential rain...the bag kept everytinng dry. I especially like the magnet closure for the bag as it keeps the contents secure. Also the attachment system with the lock is bombproof. Would recommend this product to all tour bikers, commuters, and casual riders

great pack. I like the magnetic closure. EZ to put on. I don't know if I would leave my Rolex in it and rely

on the lock, It could be cut loose pretty easily (but then I don't actually have a Rolex). I recommend it.

Cable mounting system doesn't work

I mounted the bag and properly torqued the screws. A screw dropped out anyway. I cannot even find a way to remove it without cutting the cable. It doesn't seem possible to remove or move the mount from bike to bike.

Ortlieb support won't respond to emails.

Love their panniers, but this product is not great.
