Pick Up The Pace!
Hardpack XC mountain bike riding calls for a very specific type of tire. You want something that is going to roll fast and go the distance — but also grip around loose dirt corners. It's a delicate balance to strike, and many MTB tires give too much grip or not enough. Fortunately, Maxxis designers have come up with the perfect tire to fit the bill.
Introducing the Maxxis Pace EXO/TR 27.5" MTB Tire. The Pace was designed to meet the needs of World Cup XC racers, and it shows in the tire construction. A high-volume, low-profile tread design offers minimal rolling resistance and consistent traction across the profile of the tire, while continuous side knobs keep you planted where grip is critical.
Weighing in at 620 grams per tire, the Pace reduces the overall rolling weight of the wheel meaning you can go faster without using as much power.
The Pace also comes with EXO protection — an extremely cut-resistant and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of select Maxxis tires. This densely woven fabric is also lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that the performance of the tire remains unaffected. EXO is exceptional for rocky, treacherous trails where the chance of sidewall cuts and abrasions is high.
