Description

Get Rowdy With The Best Rear-Specific Trail Tire In The Biz

The Maxxis Minion DHR II 3C/DD/TR 29" is a tried and true rear tire for shredding, now with their Double Down casing for extra protection and durability.

The well-loved Minion DHF needed a rear-specific counterpart, resulting in the Minion DHR II. It's constructed to improve acceleration and provide additional support. But, that's not all that improves the speed and nimble handling we've come to expect from Maxxis tires. Ramped and siped tread rolls fast and digs in under braking, along with strategically placed knobs that decorate the center tread.

Cornering, thankfully, becomes a breeze and that added traction inspires confidence on our rides. Further grip comes from running tubeless tires at a lower pressure so we can ride loose surfaces and rainy days without issue. Maxxis' Double Down casing is a dual layer 120tpi casing with a butyl insert that provides additional sidewall protection.

Features:

  • 29 x 2.3" (58-622 ISO) folding bead rear-specific MTB tire
  • The right tire for loose to medium, wet and dry trails
  • Burly alternating L-shaped and siped corner tread maximizes rear support when leaned over
  • Ramped and siped tread track straight under braking
  • Paddle-like knobs are optimally placed on the center tread for control
  • DD casing protects from punctures and debris
  • 120 TPI
  • Weight: 1,173g (3C MaxxTerra)
