Best gravel bike tire yet!

I took a chance on these "holy rollers". I put them to the test on gravel roads, some pavement and grassy trails. Great traction and ride. Track well, changes direction in the front in a snap. Excellent value. You won't be disappointed.

Got the 2.4 version for larger air volume. Enjoy riding on the bumpy cracked asphalt roads now for short trips around town and can jump on one of the local hard packed gravel or dirt trails no problem. Not the tire I would recommend for real mountain biking or hilly roads but definitely fun and confident around town. Plus the larger 2.4's look great on my hardtail with their knarly nubs.

Tire has the right combination of soft tread and grip combined with smooth surface which seems to be a good combination for my very fast 3000 W. electric full suspension mountain bike..

I haven't had the the tire on the bike long enough to make too many distinctions about it. So far the tire feels really good. I've used it with a heavy hub motor full suspension electric mountain bike. The only concern I have is that the wall of the tire appears to be vulnerable, however I have not had a problem. I intend to use this tire on the dirt fire roads in the local mountains. I've already tested it off Road and seems to be fine. Indeed I recommend that you put a triple thick thorn resistant innertube with some kind of tire sealant added, especially if you intend to ride off Road or with a heavy Bicycle. I like the look and the feel of the tire so far and I would probably purchase another set.

I recently switched to this tire to ride street on weeknights and trails on weekends. Fast rolling and tread lasts long. Grips great in the dry. But be careful that this tire sucks in wet & muddy conditions.

Tires handle perfectly on the hard pack trails. I ride a lot on the road as well and they cruise. A little slippery in the sandy spots on the trails but I haven't had a wipe out.....yet.

I use the tires on dirt trails, it has great grip around corners, and makes the bike handle great. They also make the bike look better! I had problems with my stem ripping decided to try new tires and it fixed the problem, these tires were a great deal and they look and work amazing!!

I bought these tire to replace an ageing set of MTB tires. I got the 2.2 because they had them in stock at the time but when i replace the back i will probably go with the 2.4. That being said it might be a while before that happens as i have around 400 miles on them and you can barely tell they have been ridden. let me add that if you are a big guy ( I am 6.2 and around 260 lbs) and you ride a hard tail you have about 10 psi to play with between to hard and to soft ( i think the 2.4 might open that range up a little), but even with my weight letting the air out to 35 (the lowest recommended air pressure) they still role awesomely. Just don't ask the to break lose on most surfaces. That leads me to my only problem with this tire and that is water. on pavement slow down, off pavement BE CARE FULL and avoid mud. they also throw water like a fire hose so if you use your bike to commute get a set of finders.

This tire is great for unicycling street. Take a curb or an uneven patch of sidewalk with ease. A pedestrian approaching and you need to switch to the grass or gravel portion, or swing to asphalt - quickly? All good. Tufts of grass at the park will no longer slide by, and steep hills aren't a problem at all, with a little less air in the tire. And it's light as bumblebee wings.

I hear the sidewalls are a bit tender, so super-duper off road and downhill may not be the bees' knees on this package of all around robust design.

There is good reason why this tire comes so heavily recommended. This is the 26" x 2.4" version.

Great urban mountain bike tires

Great urban tires for asphalt/concrete grip and low rolling resistance. They can handle hard pack, but suffer considerably on loose over hard. Found that out real quick when I laid my bike over cornering over a few leaves on some singletrack in the local park. Fairly easy to get flats on if you have any thorny thing near them but for a street/urban setup these are the way to go and the price wasnt bad either. Great tires for my paved trail greenway bike but Im a little warrior when I go off road to watch out for loose gravel, sand, or other trail debris I can slide out on pretty easily.

Maxxis Holy Roller

This is a really nice tire. The tread design allows for smooth easy rolling while providing excellent grip and the ample sidewall flex is easy on your body. I ride on asphalt paved trails mostly. I've got about 40-yrs of experience on two wheels. (Dirt and Road bicycles as well as Dirt and Road motorcycles) Having raced Motocross for 10-yrs I have a tendency to push hard in the corners. These tires are very confidence inspiring. I run them at 30psi or so and they give me all the comfort I need while still gripping well under all sorts of cornering conditions. I consider them a winwinwin in the categories of pricevalueperformance.

Great improvement over ten year old MTB tires

Replaced some old aggressive tires that were on my trek 4300. These thing ride GREAT on asphalt with very little noise, compared to the more aggressive tires on the flat grass/sand/shell roads I frequent, I haven't noticed any loss like some mention.

I was looking for a good tire for my converted mtn bike to ebike. I found these and gave them a try. Glad i did,low rolling resistance and good traction on road and trail. Only have about 150 mile on them. Hope to get 2000 miles on them. Time will tell.

Rolls awesome on pavement while maintaining some offroad handling when you want to hit hardpack or a gravel trail. It's a great balance for those looking for very little rolling resistance but not looking for a slick

Rolls fast + grip for days

Wasnt sure what to expect with these holy rollers before ordering. Turns out they handle quick, roll fast and you can bury them deep in fast corners. The casing is thin and flexible which is why they grip so well (watch out if you have bad luck shredding sidewalls with other tires). The large blocky square knobs keep tread squirm down, but give good traction in dry dirt and hard pack.

Az thorns still penetrate these tires and tubes.

Still looking for a better puncher resistant tube and tire combination.

Any suggestions will be appreciated

Great All Around Tires

Shipped fast. Easy install if familiar with tube changes. Good feel for multiple surfaces. My usage is mostly short gravel and concrete trails and asphalt between trail systems and these are perfect. Going on longer rides wanted to replace 20 year old tires. As you would expect, huge improvement.
