Smooth wheels. Good value.

Replace the OEM WTB wheelset on my 2017 Cannondale Synapse after developing cracks on the spoke holes.
Being a larger guy, I was looking for durable build with a decent spoke count.
First impressions. Construction and overall finish is impressive. Nice they came ready to install for thru-axles.
The hubs...butter smooth. The freewheel is noisy, but it's more of a spinning sound, not a obnoxious ratcheting noise like a lot of hubs are. Quiet during most conditions but when you are on it like a fast downhill it sounds like a swarm of bees. I like it!
I'm not even trying but I keep breaking PR's on Strava segments. Mainly on climbing. These wheels seem to hit the sweet spot with stiffness and comfort.
I'm surprised at the performance of the tires. I figured I'd swap them out but after 500 miles, the speed, grip and very little wear is very good. Running tubeless at 85psi.
Drawbacks. I'm still a little wary of the proprietary spokes and I need to order a spoke wrench. But at this time the wheels have performed and are still tight and true.
