Nice weave.

Your Ksyriums just got a little more serious with the introduction of these full-carbon Pro Carbon SL Clinchers. They look classic Mavic with their 3K carbon weave done up using iTgMAX technology that makes for a seamless exterior surface with a special laser-finished braking surface that provides excellent stopping power in all weather conditions on top of the special construction that raises the carbon melting far beyond what is possible on even the most demanding descents. Double-butted bladed steel spokes lace 18 in the front and 24 in the rear to Instant Drive 360 hubs for quick 9° engagement and ultra-low friction. Yksion Pro 25 mm tires wrap both wheels in front / rear specific rubber for the optimum combination of cornering grip, speed, and durability.

Claimed weight for the wheelset is 1390 g without tires. Tires are 210 g / each. Includes carbon brake pads, inner tubes, rim tape, adjustment wrench, and user guide.

Signature will be required when taking delivery of this product.

Excellent all-purpose wheel - light, stiff, and more aero than most climbing or all purpose wheels

I came to these wheels hoping to get the perfect, reasonably aero, all purpose climbing wheel that doesn't go nuts in high crosswinds. I have ridden aluminum climbing wheels and carbon aero wheels in the past, and I wanted to find the best and avoid the worst of both worlds. I think I've done it with these Ksyrium Pro Carbons. The wheels are lighter than my aluminum wheels. They are stiffer and peppier than my carbon aero wheels. And there's no way to prove that they aren't just about as aero under most conditions. Importantly, the wheels are practically immune to crosswinds - and I figure the confidence that provides saves me more time on a windy, steep descent than the aero wheels would save on all the flats combined. How's the braking? Excellent. It's easily as good as with most aluminum wheels I've ridden. Workmanship is excellent. And the price is substantially less than either of those 4-letter brand names. I couldn't be happier with these wheels.

Carbon wheels make a great upgrade for an older bike.

The Mavic Ksyrium Pro Carbon SL C Wheels are installed on my 1999 Litespeed Liege. With the wider rims, I can fit the new wider tires (I have the S-Works Turbo Cotton 700-26 installed) which makes for a comfortable ride. Of course there is a significant savings from the original Mavic Open alloy wheel set. No dislikes.

I've never used this brand new item. I doubt I would even buy it because Mavic and it's retailers don't provide enough info for me to make a decision. What is the depth? What is the rim width, outside and inside? Is there a weight limit? Is it tubeless compatible? Does using a different tire affect the warranty? Am I required to use the included brake pads to stay under warranty or can I use SwissStop (or are they the same)? Mavic is so behind the times that even with their newest products they don't get it that consumers want more information. What Mavic doesn't say about this set makes me think it is not a good value, a modern width or a useful depth.
