Why did I not save up for the Garmin 520?
by Steve F.

Consistently inconsistent is how I would describe this computer, of course it functioned flawlessly until I threw away the box and garbage stem mount that comes with it otherwise I would try to return it. Twice it lost my ride info, the first time I thought I may have accidentally deleted it but the second time I guarantee I did not. Naturally this wasn't my 20 mile after work ride, it had to lose my two longest rides of the year (46 & 51 miles), the exact reason I upgraded from the $50 Cateye unit I was using is happening with my $200 one. The speedometer is not very good, lean too far over the handlebars or ride under some tree cover and it does not record accurately. I'm sure plenty have had the same experience with cheaper units saying you're going 2-3 mph slower than your actual speed, I expected better for this price. This computer also likes to disconnect from your phone randomly, I have a Google Pixel 2 XL so it's not due to an obsolete phone. I also set up automatic Strava and Training Peaks downloads which worked one time, you really shouldn't have to go through all your setting every time you ride to make sure they are as you left them. The navigation is also sub-par, I set it up to automatically reroute if I miss a turn but the best it can do is tell you to make a u-turn but it will resume directions if you stumble back onto the planned route. I had high hopes for this computer but once again the cycling industry disappoints, if a company like Apple put out such a dysfunctional item their customers the press would crucify them. Lezyne makes good tools and tire pumps, that's about all I would recommend buying from them.
