Great tire for the money.

Good tire for the money. Only complaint is hard to get on deep v wheel. I found out if you install and remove the tire five or six times before installing the tube, it will install easier and not pinch tube. Getting about 1500 miles on commute riding.

Grippy and tough yet roll pretty smoothly

I wanted some grippy and tough 25s for the single speed to replace the 28s on there. I tried some 23 smooth tires but would spin out too easily. These are great. No problems at all so far, and they definitely roll a bit easier than the 28s (Somas).

I have ridden these tires on my commuter bike every weekday for the past 3 years. I finally had to replace one of them after about 6000 miles with only one puncture. That has been excellent value to me. The tire finally began to show its age with a few noticeable cracks and the tread pattern in the center is completely worn smooth but I've had more expensive tires give a lot more grief in a lot less time.

I also have been riding these tires during the winter on my for fun bike. Though they are a bit heavy, the tread pattern is okay in some light frost and the puncture resistance has been invaluable for all of the road debris I have to ride through. Nothing makes me grumpier than changing a tube on the road shoulder 25 miles from home in 36 degree drizzle while the sweat on my back seemingly turns to ice.

As I noted in an earlier review, the tires are a bit thick so they might scrape tight-fitting fenders.

Easy to get onoff the rim

These tyres are nice and easy to put on and take off, which is convenient given the number of flats you'll be getting with them.

I'm averaging 1-2 flats per week since I started running these and now waiting patiently for something else (anything!) to arrive.

They're not too bad on the road, but the flats kill it for me.

After a few hundred miles, these are holding up fine. Only issue I had was the difficulty I had in installing the tires. They seem very stiff (good for no flats, bad for installing, changing).

This tire is perfect for training on rough roads where there are high chance of glass or potholes. It isn't the lightest tire but it last a long time and doesn't have many flats.

Fine as a carry spare should I severely cut or blow out a tire

I use as a carry spare for the extreme blowout or road cut. It goes on the rim fine. I can't give a reliability or road wear opinion as I do not use it as a main tire. Think donut wheel for your car and it is fine at the price I got it.

Excellent choice for wet weather NorCal winter riding

I bought these for wet weather exercise riding. I was looking for something with a prominent tread, a folding bead for better performance, and reasonable weight. Also did not want to spend a bundle. I have been very happy with the performance in some pretty heavy rain. No slipping! They are a bit on the heavy side, but that's a very reasonable trade off.

I've commuted daily on this tire for about four months now with no problems. The tread offers some good grip while the tire is very tough and resistant to punctures. Despite the fairly low thread count, the tires aren't too stiff and have been easy to mount.

They are a teensy bit thicker than the 700x23 tires I previously rode and I needed to adjust my fenders for adequate clearance.

Overall, I really like these tires a lot for city riding.

I bike commute almost everyday from Astoria to Manhattan and on the weekends to Brooklyn. All in all I would recommend these tires, theyre extremely tough and they have a really good grip. Great for city riding and a good buy for the price.
