To infinity and beyond.
If you’ve been following the pro race scene, you’ve probably noticed a marked rise in aero road helmets. Team Sky, Katusha, Drapac and others have added these helmets to their quiver, so you keep asking yourself “should I?”
Aero helmets achieve their advantage by removing any irregularities in the shape that could cause drag – namely, vents. Kask decided that they didn’t want to sacrifice comfort in the pursuit of optimization. The smooth aero shape still houses 11 vents while delivering aerodynamic advantage. Utilizing an ingenious central sliding panel, you can close the 3 large intake vents easily with one hand just before you attack the pack and slip away never to be seen again.
Now all of that sounds amazing, but at the end of the day this helmet still has to protect your head in case things go south. Kask in molds their outer polycarbonate shell to an inner polystyrene core to improve shock absorption while retaining a low weight. How light, you ask? 260 grams, that’s roughly half as much as that 18oz water bottle you just filled up. The Infinity virtually disappears as you put it on your head, thanks to the Micro Dial retention systems precise and adjustable fit. The Eco-leather straps are soft to the touch with no uncomfortable folding or pulling and are easily adjustable.
The Kask Infinity includes a helmet bag, and is available in Black or Black and Red. Size Only available in Medium or Large.
