Description

The Jagwire PRO Polished Slick Stainless Derailleur cables undergo a polishing process to further remove imperfections. This creates a smoother surface with lower friction than PTFE-coated cables. With no coating, these are highly durable and compatible with all performance housings and lubricants. Typically used on high-end bikes, by riders wanting improved performance.

Features:

  • Polished, die-extruded stainless steel.
  • Low friction for excellent shifting performance.
  • Compatible with all performance housing, lubricant, and end cap combinations.
  • Cables are tinted gold for easy identification.

The right cable for me

I use this as rear derailleur cable on a bike with internal cable routing. I like that as a non-universal cable it has a welded end that can't unravel while I fish it through my frame. 2000mm length is plenty to reach the rear w/o a lot of wasted length to cut away. Hint: use a cable cutting tool! Finish is smooth and slick.

Replace your cables every two years

No better way to bring a ride to an end then to have your rear derailleur cable break. If the ride is flat you will jyou can get home, but if there are hills to climb, your ride is probably over. It is not difficult to replace your shift cables if the cable hasn't frayed and broken in the shifter, it will be a good time to take your bike to your LBS because it will take some repair knowledge to pull the frayed cable out. Like I say, easy fix if it hasn't broken. I use the cable with my Shimano components.

Have to replace my Campy rear derailleur cable once a year and sometimes twice. Cable works perfectly but wish a cable end cap would be included.

Slick and high quality, and longer than the Shimano cable, which is great for those of us riding tall frames
