Quality Freewheel and Good Alternative to Cheaper Makes

This freewheel is an excellent alternative to cheaper (rough running) freewheels or more expensive White Industries freewheels. I have three (3) of these (16T, 17T, and 18T) that I alternate on two bikes for commuting. No issues what-so -ever ( 1 year of use on oldest) and smooth with a strong pull and fast! These are quality freewheels and a good buy. As soon as I replaced my older freewheels (cheaper) the advantage was immediate (smooth with Immediate engagement). I am running 18 Single Speed chains and they work well with these IRD freewheels (good mate). Also a good match (total combo) with RACE FACE Cyclocross narrow wide chain rings.

sweet but loud

Just put one on my Paul WORD hubs and it is very nice. Immediate engagement but kinda loud, I feel like I am fishing with a loud reel. One comment. I should have chased the threads. Totally ripped thru my WORD threads but the integrity of the threading is still there. The IRD threads are long and strong.

I like this freewheel. I screwed it on my flip-flop hub and off I went. It's a quality product and good-looking, too. Almost ordered a freewheel that cost 2x as much, wanting to make sure I got a quality product, but now I'm very glad I didn't This IS a quality product! You won't be disappointed if you're considering buying it.
