When you're looking for fast, and you're looking for aero, the search stops with the Jet Disc Plus FR Clincher Rear Wheel.
The disc wheel is where HED began, and they have been revising and perfecting the design ever since, collecting wins at the most prestigious of cycling races along the way. This particular version of HED's disc design is a hybrid, with a traditionally spoked wheel at its heart, which is bonded to a carbon fiber cover. This construction yields a wheel that has the strength and durability of a spoked wheel with the incredible aerodynamics of a disc wheel. Because the carbon fiber shell is not structural, it can also be made more refined and lighter weight than a full carbon version. As with other wheels in HED's Plus line, the Jet Disc Plus has a 25mm rim width, perfect for optimizing the use of wider tires for a better contact patch and a more consistently aerodynamic profile.
The Jet Disc Plus FR Clincher Rear Wheel comes with skewer, rim tape, and valve extender included. Claimed weight is 1250 g.

Finally took the plunge and got this disc wheel. It's beautifully made and noticeably fast. I used it for Age Group Nationals olympic distance on a BMC TM01 with a Hed Jtet 50 front. Averaged 24.7 mph, with a 10028 time a new PR.
