GU Energy Gels (Mixed Box of 24)

Have tried just about every variation of these, and they're my go-to for a boost after about an hour of riding. The mixed box is good choice for someone curious how these taste - or just like a variety. I always carry them and consume up to 3-4 no problem during long rides. The caffeinated ones are great; at 20-40mg are just the right amount extra pep you want before/during a ride. Just be sure to drink lots of water during and/or after ingesting these, as the gel is highly viscous and the last thing you want is to choke on it while riding. Small; perfect when you don't want to bring larger chewable / solid food on rides. Recycleable packaging.

These gels are a great option to give you the energy boost you need without filling you up. I alternate these with protein bars, bananas, etc. to keep the fuel coming while keeping digestion down.

I have tried all sorts of gels and I like mixed box because you can sample them all and then just order the exact ones you like best.

I use this product not only on bike rides but also at the gym. Gives you that push we all sometimes need. Great tasting. Alot of people aren't happy with the consistency but the GU is worth it for that energy pick me up.

GU gels have long been my favorite. The flavor is always spot on to the name, they dont separate during storage like some other gels and the packaging doesnt take up as much space your jersey pocket as some other gels. All wins in my book!

Variety packs are the way to go for newbies. Find what you like and give the salted caramels to your enemies. Chocolates are like cake frosting. So delicious.

These are a regular snack for me on bike rides. Easy to carry and digest well. I feel the boost immediately.

I take a tube on my rides ranging from 28 to 35 miles. I will use a tube of GU halfway through the ride during my break. Last Saturday was my fastest ride home averaging 15.7 mph. I think the GU helped me do this.

On a long ride I like having these in my jersey pocket . I never would have thought these could provide energy to finish the ride / make the goal . I've not had one I didn't like ; I was apprehensive of salted watermelon but it is one of my favorites . The only thing I don't like is sticky fingers that cause sticky brake levers and shifters , but I'm willing to deal with it . It's hard to let sticky fingers get the better of good energy and good bicycle rides .

As well as having the option of flavor and caffeine level, these gels really suit my digestion system. Taken as suggested they have powered me through my first century in 20 years and a recent hilly metric.

I used these energy gels specifically during my last Century ride to see what kind of impact they would have on my riding and I was pleasantly surprised. This last Century was one of the easiest 100 milers I've completed and felt I could do more.

I didn't think I liked buying in bulk but the variety box was a great way to get to know other flavors that I had not tried . It was nice to not have to rush to the store the night before a longer ride .
