FMB's All-Around Answer
The FMB Slalom Open Tubular Cyclocross Tire is designed for all-around conditions and features an intermediate tread pattern with elongated center knobs for improved cornering.
FMB tubulars are meticulously handcrafted in a small workshop in Brittany, France. Unlike 'flat-glued' tubulars, where the tread is glued directly to the casing, FMB uses a method where the tread adheres to an inflated casing. This approach reduces energy loss during deformation as the tire rolls, resulting in a faster and more supple ride.
These high-performance, handmade tires are so valued that professional Cyclocross racers are known to purchase them personally for their most crucial races.
While this tire is also available in a tubular, the FMB Slalom Speed Open Tubular Cyclocross Tire is a clincher tire that is NOT tubeless compatible. We recommend using latex tubes with this tire for optimal performance and superior ride quality.
Note that each one of these tires is hand-crafted and while they are all new, their cosmetic appearance may vary.
