Ride them like you stole them.
Easton's Heist Wheelsets carry specs worthy of any XC or Enduro racer's undivided attention, yet they're priced so low you'd think it was criminal. No worries though, as the only thing shady about these wheels is all that riding you're going to be doing under the trees once you're rolling on the one of the Heist's wide-rimmed options.
The Easton Heist 27 27.5 Inch MTB Wheelset falls in the middle of the Heist's three width options, which laces the trusty X5 hubs to 27 mm internal-width ARC alloy rims. They're tubeless ready with a barbed rim bead to secure tubeless tires, and they come pre-taped with tubeless valve stems already installed. 3-cross lacing is done with 32 double-butted spokes on both the front and rear, and the 6-bolt X5 hubs are ready to set up on varying fork and axle standards, whether 9 x 100 mm or 15 x 100 mm in the front, or 10 x 135 mm or 12 x 142 mm in the rear, using the included end caps.
Wheelset includes 5 spare spokes for easy service in case of a mishap, plus a valve core removal tool to aid the addition of sealant. Shimano / SRAM 9 /10 speed freehub. Claimed weight is 1750 g.
Note: These wheels ship with the 15 x 100 mm and 12 x 142 mm thru-axle end caps installed. Tools are required (12 mm hex, 5 mm hex, and 17 mm cone wrench) to change the rear end cap to the included 10 x 135 mm quick-release end cap. Feel free to contact us with further questions.
