Easton's Lightest Aluminum Stem To Date
The Easton EA90 SL Stem sheds grams for race-minded riders, without sacrificing structural integrity or performance. Its EA90 aluminum tubing is the result of a 3D forging process, yielding Easton's lightest aluminum stem to date.
Looking closely at the stem's faceplate, you'll immediately notice the EA90's TopLock stem technology widens the junction between the faceplate and handlebars where the four bolts clamp down, distributing stress over a wider area for extra peace of mind when you're using lightweight aluminum or carbon bars.
Note that this stem comes in +/- 7-degrees and uses two opposing bolts to secure it firmly in place, minimizing cockpit stress. The EA90 SL comes with a 31.8mm handlebar clamp and 1 1/8th-inch steerer clamp.
- EA90 aluminum tubing sheds grams and boosts stiffness
- TopLock Stem Technology reduces clamping stress
- Ti bolts save grams
- 0 and +/- 7-degree rise dials in the fit
- Includes titanium bolts
- 31.8mm clamp diameter
- 1-1/8" steer tube diameter
- 4-bolt faceplate attachment
- Available in 70-120mm length options
- Weight: 138g (110mm)

Super light at ~100g (90mm)
by Bernard L.
Don't have a ton of miles on this things, but so far, so amazing. My other bike is a more traditional, classic steel frame with 1-inch steerer and quill stem. And about the lightest you can go with a quill stem is 250g (that's after cutting the column down a little too). So to get stem that is ~100g is pretty nice. I like the anodized black, and Easton does a tasteful logo IMO, as logo design goes.
