I use this tape on my cross bike and I ride without gloves. Tape is very slick and does nothing to provide cushion. Please do not buy this. Junk!

Hi, Thanks for the feedback on your experience with the Deda tape. This tape is popular with many of our customers, but if grip and cushion are your main priorities, we have other offerings that are more suited to those attributes. Please contact us at your convenience to discuss our more suitable options. Best, Derek

This is the perfect grip tape. Can be stretched to be as thin or thick as you like, lasts at least a season, and comes in great colors. Lightweight too.

Not a super padded tape but it's not supposed to be. Gets a little slick with sweat.

Nice Feel

Nice feeling tape that seems to last a long time. I use this on most of my bikes. The only caution is that there is no extra lenght included and it is easy to come up short if its not stretched just right.

Soft cushioned grip

I used the Elementi and the Mistral tape by Deda on vintage restoration projects. The Deda tape is easy to work with. It sretches and conforms well. Price is the key for using Elementi. I don't care for the embossing you have work around so I usually use Minstral. It has a leather look & feel.

Nice and cushy ,but the white is more grey after a summer of riding.

What can you say about bar tape - comparable to cinelli but at half the price. it's not too cushy - just right - but the white is more grey now.

Excellent as long as it doesn't rain

As others have said, when this tape gets wet, it's very slippery, especially out the saddle. When it's not wet, it's a good to very good tape, that's easy to wrap, has decent shock absorption, and looks smart. However again, this tape is slick when wet and bordering on somewhat dangerous in that type of condition. I put this tape on a track bike that isn't seeing the outdoors so I'm keeping it but if you cycle in varied climates, I'd consider something with a bit more tack to it.

Slippery when wet

When the weather is dry this is averageok bar tape. When it is wet outside (I live in Florida so you will get wet) this bar tape is very very slippery. Ask me how I know...Good thing I didn't lose my front teeth.

This tape is a little firmer than others you can find but it is durable and has a good feel once installed. I have used it before and it has lasted several years. I used it this time to double wrap the top part of my bars on my cyclocross bike to give it a little more cushion.

What I needed for the money
rating

I put this on my green '76 Takara road bike. It was pretty easy to apply, this being my first time wrapping bars I did manage to botch it in a couple places. That was all user error. However if you have some experience I expect they will go on quite smoothly. They feel good, like suede underhand, with a slight cushion. All in all this was precisely what I needed for the price tag.

Deda Elementi tape is as good as it gets. It is comfortable and long wearing. Wraps easier than cork, less risk of tearing.

A bit lacking in padding, but also lower cost

Feels nice, but it doesn't provide as much padding as some of the other bar tapes. On the other hand, it is a lower cost option than others.
