Slay the mountain, not your knees.
Grab a little protection without bulking up like a snowman with Dakine's low-profile Slayer Knee Pads. They use soft, flexible, CE-certified foam impact pads for a thinner pad that offers the same protection as some of the thicker mountain-bike pads on the market. Comfort is key, and you'll definitely find it in the Slayer Knee Pads with their perforated Ariaprene Pro 4-way stretch body that provides an ergonomic fit that won't budge on the ride without hassling you with velcro straps. It also uses Polygiene® Odor Control Technology for lasting freshness, while the bonded-hem and open-back construction lets you ride in comfort as long as your legs will let you.
The Dakine Slayer Knee Pads are available in multiple sizes. Features abrasion-resistant Aramid fabric on wear-zones for increased durability.

The pads are pretty light and seem to offer good protection for their flexibility and weight. I was in between M and L and sized down. The pads stretched just a tiny bit after 2-3 rides. The cut out on the back of the knee is tight and uncomfortable.
