One of the four tires I purchased was not formed properly and was extremely out of round. Totally unusable. A second tire was barely useable.

I was very dissatisfied with the quality control of the manufacturer to allow tires that are not round to be sold. Two of the four I purchased were functional for recreational riding. One was marginally functional. One was completely unusable. I had four very trued rims and tried multiple mountings to index the questionable tires in an attempt to get a trued up tire. Unable with the one.

Good tires

I like these tires for my long wheel base recumbent. They strike a good balance for the variety of terrain we find on the rail trails we ride. Ive settled on these tires having tried many others. They wear well and in fact Ive not had a flat since I switched.

Not a solid tire for New York City
rating

I've had more flats than one would imagine. I've own these tires for about 1 year on my folding bike, had installed new tubes with the tires, yet, 4 months in of daily riding i got a flat. I only ride about 12 miles a day, weekends excluded. I've noticed that as the tire start to wear, the side walls become so soft that the tires become more prone to flats and reliability compromised, specially with the terrible street/road conditions in NYC. Anyhow, I've had at least 5 flats and the tread wears out quick. I guess buying this tire is a good way to increase one's carbon footprint.

Great tires once you get them mounted correctly.

Bought a set for the front of my tadpole trike. They are great so far. Theres lots of glass on the streets here and I have had no punctures after using them for about a month.

On the other hand, they were a bear to get mounted properly. I put them on, they didnt roll true. I remove them and remounted them and fiddled around with them all sorts of different ways and still couldnt get them into a roll true. Finally took them to my friendly neighborhood recumbent repair shop, and it took the mechanic there a good while to get them mounted so they would turn without a wobble.

Conti Ride Tours Preferred by Trike Riders

The Ride Tours wear very well lasting two or three years as compared to other lesser brands. Front trike tires endure some unusual wear as they bear the brunt of turning and the weight of the rider. Our TerraTrike Travelers go through some brands of tires in a year. The Conti's last a lot longer.

Bought these for my recumbent trike. I ride distance, not speed and like how these grip the road.

Fine recumbent front tire

Was running Schwalbe Marathon Green guard which is a good tire. This Ride Tour is lighter and more supple. My riding buddy has them on his wedgie and he never flats, and he is a big dude! Continental Contact is even more supple but has less flat protection, a fine tire as well. The Ride Tour tracks straighter on dirt or loose surfaces than the Contact. Marathon is not as lively feeling as either Continental.

Cheers, MAC

Great tires

I have only had my 20" Continental tires for about a month but they have performed above my expectations. Haven't lost even one pound of air and with more than 300 miles of road riding on them can't find any signs of wear. The Kindle tires that I replaced, wore through to the threads with only 500 miles of wear. I'll definitely buy more Continentals in the future.

We purchased these tires for my trike. They ride smooth with good speed and secure grip for fast corners. I've got a couple hundred miles on them and they have no noticeable wear. I'm back on the site to get some for my husbands trike. Website great with fast free shipping and a good price for a great tire.
