Description

Fast-Rolling Mixed-Terrain Traction — Continental Kryptotal RE

Continental's brand new line of gravity tires has arrived! This means a full range of big, beefy, downhill-focused bruisers with no shortage of grip, tooth, cornering confidence, durability and monster traction available in four condition-specific models — from hardpack trails to loose and muddy downhill lines.

The Continental Kryptotal RE 29er is optimized for premium rear-wheel traction and fast-rolling support in mixed terrain and conditions. The Kryptotal RE's ramped tread pattern uses perpendicularly-siped center lugs to stabilize your line through anything from dry, hardpack XC trails, to loose, wet, rooty lines while a formidable ridge of tight and toothy cornering knobs lock down traction support through the corners. Available in a corresponding front-specific Kryptotal design and three casing options — trail, enduro, and downhill to fit your preferred riding style.

Features:

  • 29x2.4/2.6" tubeless ready clincher tire
  • Optimized for rear-wheel use in mixed terrain and conditions
  • Available in trail, enduro, or downhill casing
  • 180/330/660 TPI
  • Weight: 1040g (2.4" trail casing)

  • B-Stock - This product has one or more B-Stock units available. These units can be purchased at a discount (see option select). My new favorite front tire!

Replaced my go to Maxxis dh2, 2.6 XO plus out front with a Continental Kryptotal R 2.4 trail.

The Conti's roll faster, are more precise, easier to transition and clears muck well. Weight is about the same as the Maxxis that I been riding for the last 6 years. My new favorite front tire!

Tire has a great profile and the rubber feels quite sticky. It is heavier than advertised (1350g range) which is inline with what reviewers have seen. Holds up and grips well.

Never ran a continental tire before, but this one is really nice. Would recommend this to anyone with an MTB.
