The Continental eRuban Plus 29" E-bike tire benefits from over 100 years' worth of Continental's experience with moped and motorcycle tires. All of Continental's city/trekking tires are rated to a standard speed of at least 25 km/h. With their high quality structure, durable 'Pure Grip' compound, puncture protection is high and the rolling resistance is low offering an extremely agile yet durable E-bike tire engineered for the speeds and wear associated w/ electric assist cycling.
Based on activated silica compounds, Continental's new eRuban Plus 29" E-bike tire was originally intended as a performance level compound, but after intensive research and development, an advanced new compound with outstanding grip and cross-country properties was introduced. This new rubber mix, given the name "PureGrip", is ranked just behind Continental's BlackChili Compound and is being used in their performance products both in the road and mountain bike sectors.
