Tackle any terrain.

The Clément's X'Plor MSO is a versatile tire is named in honor of the Missoula, Montana airport code, the home of the Adventure Cycling Association. It's designed for on or off-road adventures with an understated center tread rolls quickly on pavement while increasing traction on dirt and gravel roads. Chunky side knobs have been lifted from the PDX cross tire to bite down in loose conditions and inspire confidence in the corners. The result is a tire that's ready for virtually any riding conditions you might encounter.

This version of the Clément X'Plor MSO features a budget friendly 60 TPI casing. 65-90 recommended PSI. Folding bead. 700c x 32mm or 40mm (32/40-622 ISO). 485 grams.

Initial ride was on gravel road with packed snow. Traction was good. Seemed to roll easily on hard packed sections. Time will tell about durability. Good volume and comfortable. I think it will work great for a gravel grinder.

I bought a 40mm set of these 60 tpi tires in Dec, 2014 for my CX bike and rode them quite a bit (approx. 2500 miles) over the past 22 months. They've held up really well. I've done a bunch of gravel road races and a lot gravel training rides. They ride great on both gravel and paved roads! I've ridden them all winter too except when it got too icy and I needed to put the studded tires on. Definitely a really good all-around tire. The extra width is very nice to dampen the ride and the tread grips well around loose corners on the gravel. My rear tire is now failing so i'll be replacing it but will get the same tire. Might try the 120 tpi tire to see if it holds up a little better but not sure I can justify the extra money. These have been great.

Great performance on and off road

I got a 40mm for my gravel bike that I travel with. My current setup is this tire on the front and a Clement USH 35 on the back. The intention was to be able to 'ride to the ride' with a decent tire on the pavement that could also handle the dirt roads and light single track. It doesn't disappoint and grips really well in the turns and handles well under braking. I was also surprised that it cornered pretty well on dry pavement at speed (around 20mph).

Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the weight, but you can't have it all! Overall it's a super fun and versatile tire.

I've used these 700x40mm tires for the last two winters commuting in Northern VA on my Trek 520 with fenders. We had 5 major snow storms last year and these tires held their own in all weather and road conditions. I am getting ready to order another set.

I just finished the Dirty Kanza 200. Most of my team were on Clement MSO 60TPI 40mm running tubeless. They are not easy to run tubeless, but it can be done. That said it IS possible to get a flat on them. I did not, but others were not as fortunate. I would not do it again on any other tire.

I currently have four sets of Clement tires and these are just as quality ride as any of the others. Easily my favorite CX and road touring/training tire. Im currently running these in 40mm on a single speed CX bike. Good training, smooth riding tire.

I bought a pair of the 32mm tires for a gravel ride in MA. The tires offered great traction on slick mud and rolled great on the pavement. I couldn't ask for a better all around tire.

I mounted a set of these tires on my Salsa Fargo. I use the bike for commuting on a dirt/paved 25 mile ride to the office. I also take it out on single track from time to time. These tires offer fantastic grip and a really comfortable ride on any surface. For anyone that has a bike for mixed surface riding I highly recommend these tires.

Great gravel road tires.

I put a set of these on my Salsa Fargo and they roll really well on the road. I also ride fire roads for part of my commute and they have adequate traction to make my 800 foot climb home in the afternoon with a few steep sections of loose gravel. They were a perfect choice for this bike being 40mm. The 120 tpi tires carried here are only 35mm so I figured on the Fargo the fatter rubber would be better.
