Description These Tall Socks Keep the Cold Out For Comfortable Dry Feet
Usually, when the seasons turn from bright and cheerful to cold and gloomy, you must ditch the thin, lightweight gear for heavy and sweaty layers. With a constant decision to walk the line between too hot or too cold, why struggle? The Castelli Bandito Wool 18 Sock has a surprisingly thin design, which works great at providing just the right amount of insulation to keep you warm without being overwhelming.
Constructed from an incredibly soft Merino wool blend for long-lasting durability to last you many winters to come. Built almost like a summer sock, these cycling socks feature a remarkably thin construction, which allows for a close fit in the shoe to provide any cyclist with great non-sweaty comfort. An impressively tall 18cm cuff protects your entire ankle from pokes and prods, keeping your lower legs safe the entire ride.
Although cold-weather rides can be uncomfortable due to improper gear, treat yourself to a sock that will provide just the right touch of comfort without being too uncomfortably warm. The Castelli Bandito Wool 18 Sock lives and breathes cycling — all thanks to a fantastic construction that goes the extra mile.
Features:
Merino wool blend for warmth and durability
Thin construction like a summer sock for close fit in the shoe but with Merino wool for warmth
18 cm cuff

A bit thin for my liking

Likes: Castelli quality. Dislikes: a little thin and slippery which means your feet move more inside your shoe unless you really crank down on your Boa (or whatever cinch you have on your shoes). But then high and tight Boas take away from longevity and comfort. If I was racing, maybe these would be good but those days are over for me. Prefer a little more thickness in my socks, even on a hot day.

OK but not long lasting

I purchased both the Distanza and Bandito socks at same time. Bandito socks after a few washings are starting to pill and discolour whereas the Distanza socks are holding up.

Toasty Enough
Castelli needs no introduction to cyclist and these socks are the same. A nice thin sock with insulating wool for those cool to chilly days!

Great sock with a catch

5 stars for comfort and wicking. I have these In gray and there's a noticeable difference in the fit between black and gray. I need to go a size up in black. I wonder if it's the dying of the wool. This is also true of the Flanders base layer. I have Black and gray in size medium and black is very small. Don't let this deter you. I have a lot of love for these garments. Just go up a size if black is your color.

These are a little on the thin side but they still keep your feet warm on cold days.
