Astral improved the stiffness, strength, and longevity of their gravel and trail wheels by using an asymmetric (ASYM) rim design that improves spoke tension balance by up to 30%. This translates to balanced handling and precision steering you can rely on in even the most demanding conditions. They're hand-built by pro-wheel builders and hardcore riders that know first-hand what a good adventure requires.

Offered in both 700c/29" and 650b/27.5" options with three premium hubs to choose from, there's a perfect build for every rider. All Astral Cycling wheels are hand-built in Eugene, Oregon, and feature Tubeless Easy rims you can easily set up at home.

Astral Approach Hubs By White Industries

The Approach hubset is built for Astral Cycling by long-time partner White Industries. It includes the same internal mechanisms as their classic CLD hub but features a bomber heat-treated steel freehub body at a nominal 28-gram weight sacrifice. For a rock-solid mountain, gravel or disc-road hubset, look no further than the Astral Approach by White Industries.

FREE Cassette Installation - Order a cassette along with a wheelset and we can install the cassette for free. Cassette installation requires special tools that not all our customers have. The cassette will be professionally installed and torqued to spec. Just add "Please install cassette" to your order notes at checkout and we'll take care of you.

B-Stock - This product has one or more B-Stock units available. These units can be purchased at a discount (see option select). B-Stock units were returned from other customers and may have missing or damaged packaging materials. These units are otherwise as new. The full manufacturer warranty applies.
