Maximum Protection In Winter's Harshest Conditions
When the conditions are extreme in high summer or deepest, coldest winter, cycling equipment is either equally extreme or it's useless. The Assos ASSOSOIRES Ultraz Winter Gloves amplify heat retention while a breathable and weatherproof exterior keeps the cold and wet out.
Redefined to perfection, these gloves feature Airblock, the extra robust softshell designed to keep warmth in and the elements out. A microfiber palm delivers a soft yet secure hold on bars and hoods, while an extended cuff prevents gaps between the glove and the sleeve. The anatomic cut reduces bunching and bulk while still accommodating sub-layers, perfect for those extra chilly rides.
Extreme, insulated protection for extreme weather, the Ultraz Glove is the ultimate platform for weatherproof cycling when time off the bike isn't an option. With a neoprene cuff and insulating lining as well as strategically-placed reflective accents, the world of winter riding is ready for you.
Features:
- Neoprene cuff insulates for a more reliable feel to keep you warmer
- Robust Airblock softshell adds insulation while maintaining breathability
- Anatomic cut reduces bunching and bulk while still accommodating sub layers
- Extended cuff prevents gaps between glove and sleeve
- Double-layered twinDeck construction delivers weatherproof protection
- Soft and padded Microfiber Palm secures grip on any surface

Reviews
These gloves get five stars because they keep me riding in the winter cold. I've tested in the extreme weather up McKenzie Pass during heavy rain and snow. These are very good gloves for cold weather riding. The windproof quality is excellent. Light precipitation rolls off. If you are looking for a waterproof glove Assos sells one for over two hundred dollars. The neoprene cuff integrates over the Ultraz jacket cuff keeping the cold from creeping in. Easily able to shift the Di2, computer and phone electronics take more effort due to the bulk. The outer shell is very durable. The gloves have a nice amount of insulation to give the gloves loft for heat retention and protection during the descents. There is a small soft section on the index for a nose wipe. If it is cold outside, 30s-50 F, I am wearing these gloves while riding.
Ive had many gloves, and suffer from cold extremities. These are the best Ive used for below 50. Much better than Castellis I bought and sold. In fairness, Im an older rider, and struggle in the cold. Assos rarely lets me down.
The sale price was a good deal but I had to return the gloves. I purchased size M according to the sizing chart bu t the fit was too tight in the wrist = hard to get on but the fingers were too long. They might work for you.
I've tried a lot of winter cycling gloves over the years and never been satisfied, mainly because too much sweat builds up in the gloves and then my hands get cold. These gloves do a good job of wicking moisture out and keeping my hands warm.
If you can stomach the price or have a discount on them... they are likely some of the best gloves out there for colder days in the PNW. High quality, comfortable, warm, dry - what more can you ask for?
