Designed specifically for cool and wet conditions, the Ragnarök from 45NRTH provides a high level of water resistance, moisture regulation, and comfort in a performance cycling shoe. Constructed with a BOA closure, waterproof membrane, and rubberized shell that extends above the ankle, Ragnarök delivers great weather protection in wet and muddy conditions. To complete your wet weather coverage, we suggest adding a waterproof pant that covers the top of the boot to prevent water getting in through the soft neoprene ankle closure. Feel free to contact us with any questions about your wet weather setups.

Features & Specs:

  • Anti-slip outsole made out of rubber infused with micro-glass filament lugs.
  • Fiberglass-injected nylon midsole with high impact resistance.
  • Traditional 2-bolt SPD style cleat mounting.
  • Combined side-mounted BOA IP1 closure and lacing system.
  • Suggested usage: Down to 25°F (-3°C)
  • Micro-adjustable BOA closure for perfectly dialed fit.
  • Adjustable ankle diameter for snug fit and weather protection.
  • Protective membrane for wind and water resistance.
  • Perfect for chilly, wet, and muddy conditions.

Best Cold / Wet Cycling Shoe

This was my go to shoe this winter. With a heavy wool sock, I never had cold feet even down in single digits. They are comfortable and not bulky. Almost made winter riding enjoyable again :-)

My feet get cold easily and these boots did a nice job of keeping them warm.

I used these boots for cool and cold weather cycling. My feet get cold easily, so,they did a nice job of keeping them warm in 40 degree temperatures with regular cycling socks. I have not had a chance to use them below 40 degrees, and will west smart wool socks with them in 30 degree temperatures. I bought a size larger than I normally wear in order to be able to wear heavier socks with them.

I have never used a Boa closure, so I would have appreciated instructions with the boots on how to use this type of closure!

Great Winter MTB Boot!
by Anonymous

This boot works great for late Fall, Winter and early Spring riding. Keeps my feet nice and warm and dry without needing to resort to foot warmers. I've been out for two hours in the low 20s with no problem. Highly recommend!

Pretty warm, runs a little small.

I got it to replace my older Shimano MW7 boots. Compared to Shimano's, those run just a smidge small (I had to get next size up, however wish there was an in-between). Sole seems stiffer, breathability is good, but feet still get a little sweaty. With thick wool sock is good down to freezing, with toe warmers maybe good to low to mid 20s. Unfortunately (fortunately?) have not had the chance to test them in the rain.

Shoes work well for me down into 30s. 20s require booties for me. 4 stars because of difficulty getting tongue and ankle wrap aligned properly when putting them on.
