Description

45Nrth Dillinger 5 Studdable 27.5x4.5" Winter Tire

A drawback with many stock studded tires is that you may have too many or too few studs. Sometimes, the stud layout may not be ideal for your riding conditions.

45Nrth allows for a customizable fat tire wherein you can install up to 252 concave aluminum carbide studs as needed for your area and climate. The width and tread design on the Dillinger 5 allows for you to float effortlessly on deeper snow, while still maintaining traction under braking, accelerating, and cornering on packed snow or ice. Your confidence and energy saved will ensure your winter ride will end with a smile on your face, rather than a wince.

Highlights

  • Tubeless ready (can be run with tube)
  • Customizable stud pattern
  • Great for snow and ice

Great tread pattern for rolling fast, plus adding studs gives you superb grip and confidence on icy trails.

Totally recommend these tires!

A friend of mine said these were one of the best fat tires hes ridden I finally got out in real snow, only 2-3 inches, but enough to give initial impressions. The grip was great, I was able to drop quite a bit of pressure and the sidewalls held up nicely. Long climbs and long descents were a joy. This tire rolls quick and is surprisingly light. Im definitely going to add some studs, why not?

Cant wait to see how they do in deeper snow.

One point is that these dont look aggressive, until you are rolling, and then they look very aggressive with deep channels and a beautiful wrap giving great turning grip.

These were also very easy to setup on carbon rims. And the rear is reversed.
