Narrow but grippy

I live on a farm large enough to mow my own course. These tires grab very well in the early morning dew covered grass. I raced them twice and they hook up great. You a hear them tear at the ground in the corners. Theyre slow on pavement, but theyre cross tires so dont ride them on pavement.

The labeling on the tire itself does indicate that it is 30mm x 700c, but it also indicates 28m. It appears to be 28mm wide, the exact width of my 28mm road tires. I installed these tires on a set of Shimano CX rims that are intended for 28 to 36mm tires. My endurance bike frame will accept a 30m wide tire, but I've been unable to find a tire 30mm tire for crushed limestone or hard packed surfaces. This tire will have to do. I've put about 150 miles on paved surfaces at psi varying between 60 and 90 and it appears to be rolling well, but noisily. I plan to use these on the GAP Trail and the C&O towpath at the end of the month and am hoping for somewhat dry conditions.

I ride a 2007 Fuji entry-level road bike. I normally ride 25c Continental standard road tires. I wanted to try cyclocross tires but clearance is an issue. I've tried 32c cyclo tires before but no luck and I had to pay for return shipping. That was a few years ago and so I was reluctant to try again. Local bike shops were no help. Then I saw these. I tried. And they fit!!!! They're the best tires I've used on this bike. I still only ride on the road. No plans to take them off-road. They are stable. Durable. Fun. Affordable. And they look great. My first Schwalbe tire and I'm totally and completely impressed. I ride about 200 miles per week. I'm an ultra endurance athlete and I need to train on the bike about 5 or 6 times per week. I highly recommend these tires.

I was looking fo a tire to put on my wife's specialized road bike that would clear frame and standard brake calipers. We were heading to Michigan where some of the trails are a mix of asphalt, boards and gravel. Couldn't ride everywhere on slick road bike tires. We camp a lot and travel to a lot of places we have not been before. I had to make a slight adjustment to rear caliper to make the rear Schwalbe CX pro tire work. These tires are not as fast as our Conti Gatorskins but they work and do the trick. Instead of buying two bikes we can now switch between two different tires.

I use these tires on my cyclo-cross bike to ride a part rocky part gravel part paved bike trail and they provide great traction in all conditions. Albeit, I haven't tried them in snow.

I converted my Trek 1.1 road bike to a cyclocross bike. These tires just fit with the standard brakes it came with. I kept the same fork it came with and didnt have to modify a thing. I have taken these tires on Gravel, Concrete, Asphalt, SoftHard Dirt and they do not fail. I have put a few hundred miles on them and I love them. No flats yet. I would highly recommend for just the average rider that cycles 3-5 days a week like me. I would buy them again.

Mud, gravel, road, grass, sand - I've ridden the sht out of these things and they keep going. I mostly mountain bike, but race a few CX races each year. I take my CX bike on all my local mtb trails with these tires and can almost rail just as hard as my mtb. I use them on long training rides that combine, mud/road/trail and have started to plan some great adventures. I set these tires up tubeless and they hold up great. GREAT TIRE!. Over 1000K and no issues.

Here is an update after riding these tires for about a year. The wear is very good. Just replaced the rear tire after about 3000 miles. Front is looking really good at this stage. This tire continues to be my favorite tire for commuting and trail riding on my CX bike. I have have had great luck with regard to flats - zero. Just these tires and a tube - nothing extra.

Put these on a couple cross bikes with non tubeless rims. Handled great and seemed fast and grippy.

Good tires for gravel rides too.

I rode this in Moab for more than 160 miles of dirt, gravel, sand, hard pack, pavement. It performed well in all situations! Run it at lowest recommended for great sand riding (for a 30mm!!) or air it all the way up and get a good road ride when needed!

I bought and reviewed these tires last year. So, here's an update. I commute every day to work, year round in all sorts of weather, about 38 miles per day. The side walls on my expensive Gator Skins would rip fairly often. So, I mounted the Schwalbe CX Pro Tires onto my 2010 SURLY Pacer (sadly, SURLY has stopped making the Pacer). Anyways, dollar for dollar, these are the best tires out there for everyday riding, especially if your commuter route includes a little gravel and dirt in the summer and snow and ice in the winter. And plus, my Pacer looks pretty cool with these knobbies. But please note, these are not folding tires. Got to go.

I've run Michelin and Ritchey tires on my cross bike for years. I like the size of these tires and the profile, center knobs provide a smooth ride but also grip, and the shoulder knobs provide grip for loose sand, mud, or grass. Tire pressures can be varied according to course conditions, not as low as tubulars but pretty low without the rolling feeling lack of control one may experience on beaded tires. A solid cross tire.

My 1994 Gary Fisher rigid, steel mtb passed away in the Fall of 2017 due to complications of a rusted out frame. The Gary Fisher was my Northeastern year-round, all-weather bike for commuting backforth to work. Instead of buying a new mtb, I decided to mount a pair of Schwalbe CX Pro tires on my SURLY Pacer road bike. Well, I got news for you sir. There isn't much that the SURLYCX Pro can't handle. I now ride onthru snow, ice, rock salt, gravel, dirt, and tarmac with full confidence. These tires are solid, relatively fast, and provide loads of traction considering they are only 30 mm. Best buy in a long time.
