The Vredestein Fortezza Tricomp continues to prove itself as one of the fastest racing clincher tires on the cycling market today. TriComp tread places a longer wearing compound in the center with low rolling resistance while a softer compound is used in the shoulder for predictable handling in corners.

Compared to the other contenders, the Tricomp is a steal. It offers traction almost as good as the Pro 3 Race with better rolling resistance and durability, AND at a lower price. This is the tire I keep coming back to. Great deal.

Been using variations of Vredesteins for 8 years with great luck and have seen many converts who love them too. They ride nice at 140psi and no fear of roll off and ride smooth at high psi. nad corner like no other tires. My race buddies tossed their other brands as well. They don't flat often either I race them road, crits and TTs and I weigh 230lbs. Not looking for any other tires now...the Superlites are best for race only though and are very light, wear well for their intended purpose..racing only! They will flat other wise.

A Very Good Tire

Avid biker. Have tried several makes of tires and without doubt this tire is the best. I get 2500 to 3000 miles out of them and very few flats. (I could probably get more miles but change tires conservatively and I rotate at about 1000 miles.) The Michelin Krylion tires that I used in the past were very puncture prone, and not as durable. The Vredestein feels very secure and corners well, feels very fast, is excellent in the rain and permits high inflation pressures - I typically inflate to 125F145R. Overall, excellent tire.

I've tried them all and while some tires come in a close second none are as good as the Vredy Tri Comp's. They have lasted much longer than the Cheaper Fortezza SE and I haven't gotten a single flat so they're resistance to glass is very good. You can still cut them on big pieces of glas or metal but any tire will do this if you choose to just plugh through debris on the road.

The one thing that really blew me away is how smooth they are, at times you feel like your going flat but it's just the low rolling resistance that you don't get with the cheaper casings on $25 tires.

I love these tires

I have been riding on Vredestein tires for about 10 years now and I love them. I am not a hardcore cyclist, so I can't speak for these tires from a racing perspective, but I am a heavy rider (230 lbs) so I do 'punish' them in that respect. ^ )

With the mileage I ride (2-3000 miyr), I only need to change my tires about once a year and have never had a flat w on these tires. They have great traction and the tradeoff to that is that they are a little soft and therefore not as long lasting. And if it matter to you, they offer a wide range of colors to match your ride.

I am a satisfied and loyal rider of Vredestein tires.

Great Tire

I have run these for a few months now and am very pleased. I was using the Pro Race 3's and they didnt seem to wear as long and less puncture resistant.. I also like that i can run them at a higher pressure. I run them at 145 PSI and the roll great. I will buy more of these when they go on sale again.

Great ride!

Switched from Michelin Krylon Carbons. TriComps ride better, corner better, and seem to be more durable so far. I've been riding 140145psi which seems to be about right (I'm 160lbs). I rode the TriComps on dirtgravel fire roads and no cuts! Good combination with ultri-light tubes but obviously they lose some pressure overnight. A little pricey but worth it!
