The new Red XG-1090 cassette improves on the previous Powerdome design, using eight hollow center sprockets which are machined from a single block of high grade tool steel, increasing stiffness while weighing even less than a titanium cassette. The largest cog is made from heat treated aluminum and features cutouts for further weight reduction and stiffness.
This Cyclocross model does not feature StealthRing elastomer inserts between cogs, delivering improved mud shedding in off-road conditions. The 12-27 tooth spread provides ideal gearing over varied terrain.
The XG-1090 Powerdome Cyclocross Cassette is compatible with SRAM 10-speed shifters and chains. 154g (claimed).
