The new Red XG-1090 cassette improves on the previous Powerdome design, using eight hollow center sprockets which are machined from a single block of high grade tool steel, increasing stiffness while weighing even less than a titanium cassette. New StealthRing elastomer inserts have been placed between each cog to reduce vibration and noise for deadly silent shifting. The largest cog is made from heat treated aluminum and features cutouts for further weight reduction and stiffness.
The XG-1090 Powerdome cassette is compatible with SRAM 10-speed shifters and chains. 135g (11-23; claimed).
