With the WH-RS61, Shimano combines features from the newest Dura-Ace hub design, with an 11-speed compatible freehub, and a tubeless ready rim, all at a reasonable price.
Shimano's updated aluminum hoops feature 21 and 24mm respective front/rear profiles to offer an excellent balance of weight savings, strength and aerodynamics. At nearly 21mm wide, the new design follows the industry trend, delivering a wider, more stable tire contact patch and further aerodynamic efficiency when paired with standard 700c x 23mm road tires.
Next, the new 11-speed hub construction features serviceable angular contact ball bearings and super wide rear flanges for stiffness and long life. A forged alloy hub shell and steel axle provide a compromise between strength and weight.
To tie it all together, The RS61 uses double butted stainless steel bladed spokes, with 16/20 front/rear, laced radially and 2x respectively for a great combination of durability, stiffness and style.
The WH-RS61 Wheelset includes quick-release skewers. 700c (622 ISO). Compatible with Shimano/SRAM 8/9/10 speed and Shimano 11-speed cassettes. Compatible with road tubeless and standard inner tube-type tires.
