Description
Shimano has updated the Ultegra Shift/Brake Levers, continuing the trend of innovation within their 6700 series group. The ergonomic hood design has been borrowed from the Dura-Ace model with right and left hand specific shaping. The carbon levers have also been reworked for better comfort with reach adjustability (3.5 or 7 ° with included shims) and easier shift through, requiring less effort per shift. Updated pivot placement makes braking easier from the hoods. Unlike the new Dura-Ace model they still allow for front derailleur trim and can still make up to three downshifts (easier gear) at a time. Standard and compact double chainring compatible. 442g/set.
Designed for use with the 6700 series rear derailleur. Compatible with older 10-speed rear derailleurs. B-Compatible (Shimano's terminology for functional, but not perfect) with 7900 rear derailleur. Also B-compatible with older 10-speed front derailleurs.
Designed only for use with Ultegra 6700 and Dura-Ace 7900 brake calipers due to increased cable travel which may cause problems with older brakes.
