Description Shimano's Dura-Ace C50 wheelset delivers aggressive aerodynamics with minimal weight sacrifice. This new 9000 series design boasts a brand new hub, improved rim, and 11-speed compatibility.
The C50 rim features a high modulus carbon construction with a 50mm wind cheating profile. The wider D2 profile measures a full 23mm at the bed, resulting in an improved tire contact patch and father aerodynamic efficient when paired with typical road tires.
As expected, Shimano's 9000 Dura-Ace hub features top quality angular contact ball bearings for silky smooth performance. It's also been made even easier to adjust thanks to the tool-free "digital click" system, so you can put the cone wrenches back in the tool box. Over-sized A7075 Alloy axles are incredibly rigid yet lightweight, and a wider rear flange spacing furthers stiffness even more. The addition of a full titanium Titanium 11-speed compatible freehub body shaves a few more grams while offering great wear resistance.
The WH-9000-C50-CL features stainless double butted and bladed spokes. Shimano's OptBal 2:1 lacing pattern provides ideal spoke tension for outstanding strength, and the off-set rear rim decreases "dish" for further durability. Spoke count: 16 front, 20 rear. The Dura Ace WH-9000 C50 CL Wheelset is compatible with traditional inner tube-type clincher tires. Dura-Ace quick release skewers are included. For use with Shimano/SRAM 8/9/10/11-speed cassettes. Claimed weight: 1672 grams per wheelset.
