Description The Dura-Ace Di2 SM-EW79A-E front wire kit connects the rear wire kit to the ST-7971 and SW-7971 shifters for time trial and triathlon aerobars and base bar. It also contains the battery indicator unit which shows the approximate battery life by pressing and holding down one of the shift pads. An led on the indicator with show green if the battery is over 50% charged, red if under 50% charged, and flashing red if the battery is almost drained. The indicator mounts to the brake cable housing just below the stem and handlebar junction via included zip ties. Heat shrinking of cable connections with an industrial-use dryer is required to maintain a waterproof seal. It has one cable that connects to the rear wire kit and four cables that can be run internally or externally to the base bar and aerobars. Cable ties included for mounting.
